Xterra Rockford Fosgate stereo in 4th gen?

I'm looking to make some changes to my car stereo system and while riding in a friends Xterra this weekend I began thinking about installing the Rockford Fosgate 6 disc cd player in my 4th gen.

I searched and was only able to find this one thread on the forum with no results so decided to make a new thread in the proper section.

http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...questions.html

I have a 95 gxe that originally came equipped with the stock non bose stereo. Currently I have a single din JVC mounted in the bottom single din slot and a Sirius Sportster installed on a custom bracket in the double din location. I am growing tired of Sirius and have decided to cancel my subscription at the end of next month.

Does anyone have any experience with these Rockford Fosgate units that come as an option in 2nd generation Xterra's? I think the unit would look great installed in my 4th gen max and they seemed to sound nice for an OEM stereo.

Will I need to get other components from the system as if I was installing a bose system in my car?

Is it plug and play? maybe just some basic wiring??

thanks for any input

Edit: here is the unit i'm considering
