Got a new CD player.....AGAIN

I know, I know. Everyone told me not to get a pioneer, but I went with what I knew. Low and behold 6 months later the unit doesnt like cold mornings. Sent it to pioneer and they didnt fix it. So my buddy is an installer and he bought this for a side job and the guy backed out. Its a KW-XR810, retail is 320 I got it for 200. So far I love it, it sounds much better than the Pioneer ( I am really surprised).

it is blue during the day, and red at night(to match my gauges)
and yes that is tape on the thumb drive. I broke the cover off to make it shorter, and taped the hole up. Better pics tonight of the colors

JVC"s have strong pre-outs, if you're running through the bose system that probably has a big impact on your setup.

Nothing is bad about Pioneer. I love the decks they have. I have a Pioneer DEH-i4900B in my Max and it sounds excellent with the Bose. Had it for about 3 years now and running strong.

My first Pioneer lasted me ~6 years, its still kickin it my buddies truck. The new one was a premier DEH-P310UB. That thing has been a POS since day one, and their rude customer service has lost them a customer. Acording to the OG audio peeps here, the old pioneer stuff was good but the new stuff is ****ty

Well the bose amp has been bypassed (for now) and the front speakers are a Infinity Kappa component set. The backs are still bose, but they will be changed eventually.

Pioneer is a division of Kenwood(?), or vice versa always made decent decks. You probably ran in to a deck that shouldn't have passed QC/QA inspection? Majority of the corporate world is about quantity not quality, and are made in China where quality is not a concern!!!

If my memory serves me correctly, I believe that JVC is a division of Alpine! I always had great luck with both JVC and Alpine! Currently have Alpine CDA-7995, which has no internal amp, and just ordered Alpine Type-R 1242D which will be ran by Kenwood Excelon KAC X201T. I also have JL e4300 4ch amp to run the fronts and the rears but haven't decided what speakers to go with just yet... But as of right now I am running stock Bose system! Augh what a poor design of a HU and under powered amp! Can't they design with expansion in mind? Seriously!

Thanks for the permission.... lol

So I did some quick research and I have found that Kenwood and JVC have joined forces in 2008. And is an affiliate of Panasonic not Alpine! As for Pioneer, there's no affiliation with Kenwood. But am going to do further research....

Unfortunately USA numbers aren't listed on any of the pioneer sites. That is the best I can do my man! I did see a number for parts though if you want me to get that for you?
