I wouldn't say that, but there is a small difference between th "FM modulated" XM signal, and the direct connection to an XM-ready deck.

Its not that it doesnt sound good. But FM doesnt have the frequency range that CDs do. Thats why the same song played on the radio sounds different than the same one on a CD. I have heard sat radio, and it is impressive, but not better than CD quality when using a FM modulator.

the FM modulated XM radio from pioneer atleast...actually sounds better than FM stations..now..im not saying its AS good as CD's but its still a definate improvement over FM...and concerning frequency range...its the Transmitter that isnt transmitting the whole frequency range( i think ) but the satelite radio does..and it gets plugged right into the antenna plug..so theres no signal loss there

How ever good it sounds, i will never even go to an FM modulated stuff. the word FM just explains it all why dont u offer that pioneer 3300XM package that is around 400??? alot better than an fm modulated plus you get a new CD player. not a bad idea with CD quality sound.
