yes im a complete noob, my car has no bass what so ever anymore and the volume is only coming from the front speakers. do i only have to replace the sub in the back? please explain the basics so i can actually learn.

 

You skipped a whole lot of pertinent info...what year car? Is it a factory stereo; Bose, Bose with NAV, or Non Bose? If aftermarket parts, what do you have? is there power to the amps?

What you're asking in the first post is for us to read tealeaves...

 

2000 maxima, factory bose stereo, no aftermarket parts, idk what u mean by power to the amps, the bass comes n goes but when i do hear it, it rattles and doesnt sound good at all, in my noobish perspective i think i blew the sub and just need to replace it

 

Turn up the volume and go in the back and push the speaker cone and hold it up or down if it plays but cuts off in and out you need a new woofer
original nissan bose or any wofer that works at 2 to 1.5 ohms
