A question for a everyone?

how long has everyone had subs in their maxima???....i have had mine for 9 months.....does anybody think subs wear a car down...it seems like my car gets new rattles all the time!

Yes, all that vibration will eventually work everything "loose". I don't think it will actually hurt the car, but it will cause more and more rattling in the bass-frequency range over time.

I totally agree with everyone's advice to dynamat. But don't buy dynamat!! It's extremely expensive.

Try mcmaster.com. User their search engine and type "sound control". You are looking for hi-temp mastic sheets. They are asphault-based, fairly flexible, and apply with a heat gun just like dynamat for a fraction of the cost. I did a rather over-kill door install on my Explorer and the stuff works really well.
