Help/advice on 03 Max system.
Help/advice on 03 Max system.
As of right now I have the Bose stock stereo system with the stock sub and amp in my 03 Maxima. With my stock deck I am having the audio cutout problem on the driver side so rather then spending almost $200 on it I just want to get a hole new system/deck.
The person that had my max before me already had subs in it but he got rid of them before the car. I already have the wire running from the battery (not connected) just sitting in the engine bay running to the trunk. I don't no much about systems or really anything with the audio so I need a little help. I definitely want a new deck to solve the cutout problem and so I can have an AUX input but I am clueless on what to get or what will fit. I also definitely want to add subs (thinking 2 12s) into the trunk along with a amp that will have no problem powering them. The last thing I want is a gauge wired under my steering wheel to adjust the subs and make it so I can turn them all the way down if I wanted to. I am not sure what its called but my brother had it in his durango back in the day. I am not looking to get a top of the line set up money wise but I will spend what I have to to get something nice and loud.
As I am clueless in what to get in all aspects the other threads didn't do much good for me.
I'd appreciate a lot of help in making my decisions. After finished I will post pictures and such. Thanks in advance...

In my opinion that's the best place to buy any car stereo equipment.
I ordered a Alpine CDA-105 for $150.

I just installed the jvc KD-A815 in my 02. I also installed a Sound Ordance powered Sub under the passenger seat. The Bluetooth works well and the sound from the stock speakers sounds a little better. The Sub sounds very good. The Scosche kit fits OK ( a gap above the AC controls and tight under the vent). I also installed the Axxess Steering Wheel Control module. It works very well.
I think I got one out of 4 things picked out....
For the deck I believe I am going to get the Jensen VM9214:

@maxatlast: The axxess steering wheel control module you are talking about, is something like this necessary to make the steering wheel controls work with any aftermarket head unit?
