Dayton components

I'm in the process of upgrading my stereo in my 02 maxima. I have replaced the HU with a Alpine CDE-105 and want to replace the speakers and amp next.

I have been doing some research and stumbled across a post mentioning the Dayton RS180s. They are very cheap, which I like and sound really nice(trying to get the best bang for my buck).

Anyone get all this stuffed in their doors?

Or should I just keep it simple (6.5s) and add a sub?

imo would just replace the stock 6.5s and add a sub. if you are tight on space try a 8 inch sub, a 8 in a good box will sound as good as bigger subs if 8 inch sub is in good box

Thanks.

Bought a pair of CDT CL-61As and a Avionixx AXA440.4 amp. Now need to replace the speakers in the rear and get a sub.

How much of a difference do the rear speakers make? Should I just leave the existing ones and spend the rest on a sub?

you won't hear the back speakers that well from the driver seat. you'll hear mostly from your front speakers. IMO just leave the rears out and spend the money on something else.

rear fill is generally for rear passenger, so unless you car-pool a lot it's not necessary to upgrade or even use rear speakers. put that money into your sub stage or save it.

Also, check out Sonicelectronics.com or Woofersetc.com for equipment. They have great quality products for cheap. The stuff you bought is better than stock. but you could probably find better stuff for what you paid.

Good luck/
