8sq ft of "EXTREME" dynamat..WOOOHOOOO...any tips on install for trunk, trunk lid, and how to get best results out of 8 sq ft?

8 square feet isn't too much, so I would just put most of it on the trunklid, and the rest on your rear deck. But 8 ft. isn't going to make a huge difference, so don't expect a miracle. I have 3 layers, or something like 25 square ft. on the trunklid alone, and it still rattles pretty bad. Much improved, but not perfect yet.

 

i picked it up for free from al & eds so i guess its better than nothing...i juss wanna cut down the insane rattling im getting now...so hopefully it'll do that...btw, what type of dynamat did you use? until yesterday i didnt even know there were different types

Mostly extreme. I got sponsored by them, so I get a lot of the stuff. I have regular Dynamt on the trunk floor, and other flat surfaces, but on the doors, trunk lid, trunk sides, it's all Dynamat Extreme.
