what sup guys does anyone know what wire to tap into for installing a backup camera ? I also bought one of those led brackets frames so I would like it to come on only when I switch into reverse. thank you

I'm no expert at this but just through logical thinking I would say for your led bracket to come on only in reverse tapping into the reverse lights would be the way to go with the help of a wiring diagram. good luck

 

Why tap the reverse wire?-----Just hook it up to AUX input on your HU that way you can turn it on whenever and watch behind you. Thats what I did and everyone that gets in my car is like whoa!

 

I'm going to add a backup camera to my car also. But i do not have an aftermarket headunit so i bought a little LCD screen on ebay.

I am going to ground the camera in the trunk and maybe power it from the amp turn on in the trunk (accessory power).

For the screen im going to hook it up to another accessory power up front and run it to a rocker switch. I might also make the camera attach to the switch so if i want to sit and listen to radio without the car running i wont be draining the battery with a screen and camera.

Im not sure what you mean about the led bracket but to power it only in reverse simply tap the reverse light wires in the trunk. You wont want that thing running all the time with an accessory power.
