Component 5.25 blown... quick fix?

So my 5.25" woofer in the drivers door is kaputzky... I really dont feel like purchasing a brand new set of components and finding time to install them at the moment. I do, however, have a quick question. I no longer have my rear 5.25 2-way speakers hooked up, so i was wondering if I could switch the rear 2-way into my drivers door component set up. Meaning, I'd have a crossover going into a woofer w/ tweeter and then the tweeter alone. I know that the wattage is much less for the way, but im just looking for a quick fix so i dont hear that annoying buzzzzzzzing everytime the beat "drops". Thanks!

yes that will work. depending on if your crossover has output for the woofer, the tweeter wont work (obvously) but the woofer will work.

so you're planning to take out the rear speakers, and installing them into the front? yet you don't want to find time to simply install some replacement to replace the blown speaker? seems counterproductive to me...

anyhow, diamond audio makes some pretty decent speakers. i'd just get a replacement and fix it properly and NOT sacrifice your rear speakers.
