No subs need help
Ok so i read the threads ppl put up before me have a 99 maxima i spliced the rca wires in to my rear speaker wires and im still not getting anything from my sub im back tracking to see if i did anything wrong but so far its good but i still have no sound out my eclipse sub
You need one of these http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...Boss-B65N.html if you are not plugging your RCA's into the head unit. Then you can splice those wires into the existing speaker wires, then plug the RCA's in. You cant just cut the RCA cables and splice them into the existing speaker wire.
^^
That depends on if he has a bose system or not. If he does have bose, he can splice his RCA's into his rear speaker harnesses, as long as he taps the signal before it passes through the amps. Many people have done it this way, I did it on my brother's 5th gen, also did it as a temporary thing when I had my 4th gen. worked out fine.
OP: need a little more info. Is your amp at least turning on??

Apart from that, the only other thing I can suggest is to check and re-check your wiring. Are you splicing the RCA's into the harness, before they reach the bose amps? Make sure that you have the (+) and (-) correct on your RCA's. maybe try switching them just to eliminate that. You probably have these diagrams already but just posting them in case:

Good luck man
Ok, have you tried the amp in another car to make sure it's good, or do you have another amp you can try in your car?
