Anyone with Cerwin Vega?

I was just wondering if anyone had put Cerwin Vega subs in a Maxima. I am installing two 12" Cerwin Vega Vega series subs in mine this weekend. I will be pushing them with a 600w Sony ES amp. I hadn't heard Cerwin Vega bump before just a couple of weeks ago, but I love their sound. They are very deep and very clear. I'm sure they will slam like hell!

You are so very right!! I installed two 12" vegas in my max yesterday.... I love them! A friend gave me a box of his that he made for a silverado extended cab. It doesn't fit worth a sh*t! I have one sub in the trunk and one halway sticking into my back seat, and it is still loud as h*ll. I'm working on a new box for my trunk right now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know if Vega 124D4 subs would work in a bandpass box? I'm a little confused as to what the exact cubic volume should be. The Cerwin Vega site has all these equations and sh*t. I was thinking about just buying a dual bandpass box off of www.speakerhole.com. Please tell me what you think.

i wouldn't use the d4's in bandpass you will blow the voice coils... they have enough sound that they don't need a bandpass to sound good like msot subs do... just run straight sealed or ported box (depending on the type of sound you are looking for)

It only has information on the Cerwin Vega website about ported boxes. Do you think that they would work ok in a sealed box. Also, if I used sealed or ported, how big of a box should I get.

they work fine in a sealed box my bro has one in his truck... it is like 3cubic feet i think (may be wrong i will chk later) and it sounds damn good! not as good as in a car (very very noisy off-road beast 86 ford f-150 lifetd and all) but still sweet!

I really need a solid answer to my questions. I plan on ordering a box Thursday. I would like to have a sealed box but only if it works well with Vega's. If not I would like to know where I could buy a dual 12" ported box.
