In need of an alarm ASAP!

So I don't live in the best neighborhood ever (drug dealers outside) & a couple of other problems....But I get real PISSED OFF when I go to get something from my car (95 GLE? or GXE?) & I see these fools leaning on my car...It's annoying as HELL! I have a factory alarm but that's only if the doors are open while the door is locked....I wanted to put in a Viper 5202V 5701 just because I could use it with my phone + it has a built in turbo timer & Failsafe starter kill....seeing how I'm not only a car guru & I also love my bikes I see some people with like a "sensor" I guess? That is connected to the alarm so when someone comes close to the bike it beeps & a light flashes......That's one of my main reasons for deciding to get a aftermarket alarm......If vipers don't come with this feature then what other alarm would suite my needs? HELP!

The viper 5901/5902 is a great unit. I install these units all the time, and I've never had any complaints. The sensor that you're probably looking for is the proximity sensor from DEI. It essentially creates a field around the vehicle that "sees" anything that might be standing, or hanging around.

I don't personally like that particular sensor because no matter how it is installed, they always seem to freak out for no reason from time to time....when it's hot, cold, if you leave a phone in the car, if there is a rain storm, etc.

I'd be happy to install a fully loaded viper system for you, but I'm in Toronto lol.

Yeah that's specifically what I'm looking for! The Autopage C3-RS1100 OLED looks pretty sweet too especially for the price, what do you think about that? If it comes with the proximity sensor i'll most likely be going for that one. I wouldn't mind it going off for no reasons sometimes, I KNOW that will keep these guys from leaning all over my car like it's a lounge chair or something -___-.....& maybe I can ship my Max over to you if Fedex gives me a big discount lol thanks for the advice though
