A question about my viper 591xv.

It is a remote start two way w/ keyless entry. Everything works fine except the valet take over feature (when you stop at a destination and remove the key while the car stays running). It worked for years. I was told there is no option to turn that feature on or off. Any advice please.

If it worked before, then it should work now. To activate it, all you're doing is remote starting the car while the key is still in. Just make sure that your food is not on the brake while you're activating it.

Agreed, when I hit the remote start button it clicks three times but the doors don't unlock meaning it went into valet mode.My foot is absolutely off the brake.

unless you have access to what's called a bitwriter, take it to a Dei dealer...best buy etc, and have them check and see if your unit is in what's called voltage sensing mode. if it is, then check to see if the voltage check level is on high. if so, switch it to low. check the 3 30 amp fuses on all of the red wires, striped or not too...a relay may not be staying energized inside the unit due to a blown fuse. OR, the tach wire isn't programmed correctly. check the connection under the hood/ECM wherever you get the tach wire from. if its ok, then look for the valet button, if the installer left it in the car. start your car with the key when the motor is cold. within 5 seconds press and hold the valet button for 3 seconds, and then let the button go. you may hear a relay click. that means tach mode is programmed. it should def work by then. it remote starts fine initially everytime?
