Amp Won't Turn on????

Ok, i have a Rockford Fosgate r500-1 amp and 2 Rockford r1 12"s. I've wired the power, ground and rem. wire up, I'm almost 100% sure the wiring is all correct as ive quadruple checked them all. But why the heck wont this thing turn on?? a few days ago i was at my buddies house drilling the hole for the ground in the trunk, (dont have a drill, had to borrow his) and when we got done the red "protect" light was on. but now none of the lights on the amp come on at all. Please help me i have a fortune in this system and i just want to bump cause im obessed with the bass in my music (

Something was not wired correctly, reason the protection light came on. Check all fuses, check to make sure your subs are not wired at a lower impedance than your amp is rated for. Also, make sure that you have a good grounding point (tightened down on clean metal).
