Would the Kenwood LZ-701W lcd screen monitor fit a 1996 Max without much modification? Here is a link for more info on the screen:http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...LZ701W&o=p&a=1

Where at? On the headrest? Cause that is way too big for a headrest, the biggest you can get by for the headrest is like 5.6"

if ur gonna spend that much money on a screen why dont u buy this???

http://www.mmxpress.com/Pioneer/avx7300.htm

personally i think this would be ebtter for a few reasons...the main reason is you can fold in the tv when ur not in ur car so that way no one will know u have a tv in ur car.....next...u would be able to dit a dvd player or something else in the extra din that you will not end up using....just my opinion......Tom ps that kenwood is still a sweet lcd monitor

He's right, But the only reason I dont like the Kenwood is two reason, one it is almost $2000, secondly it is semi-automatic, it only come in and out motorized, then you have to manually lift adjust the lcd angle. But then again it has a built in DVD player, and Tv Tuner and all that good stuff that none of the others do. WHY did they have to make it a semi-automatic screen?

Pioneer has one with a built in DVD also...
Mine is being put in as we speak...

Pioneer 7" fold away screen/CD player
Pioneer Navigation/DVD player

Both fit in the double din slot...

RED GREEN BLUE in reality. But maybe it meant to say it has composite inputs. This makes for better picture quality. Mostly on HDTV sets.

Pioneer's web site lists MSRP as $1,200. They also don't give any more info than saying RGB input.... is that VGA or component or something else?

The manuals they have online require registration so I didn't bother.

Are you sure? My 98 SE opening measures about 7" wide, and 4 1/8" tall. The Kenwood lz-701w screen measures 6 15/16 x 4 7/8 tall. I don't think this will fit without modifications.

I hope I'm wrong, cuz that's a sweet screen.

Well of course it was going to require Custom Fitting and what not. That is not anyone who does normally. No one is going to sell a trim kit for that.

If you can get it on the factory brackets or find another way to mount it solidly, you are good to go. Me, I would much rather go the flip out screen cause it is theft deterent too.

How strong are those flip out screens? I've only seen one in person, and it seemed kind of flimsy. It almost seemed like a speed bump taken too hard could snap the screen right off.
