aftermarket Pioneer 8000 install on 2010 Maxima question

Hey guys, i have a 2010 Maxima. I want to get the Pioneer 8000nex installed in it but im not very knowledgeable in car audio so sorry if I sound ignorant.

I want it installed but an audio guy told me that the Nissan Maxima has issues with the amp and that if I dont get another aftermarket amp installed the back speakers wont work.

I looked on this forum and read that you have to get the right harness for the amp to work correctly.

Can someone give me some good info on this and if it should be okay to install an aftermarket unit on my car without needing to buy a new amp or any other expensive mod. Thanks.

Recommend you read the "Bose radio install" thread. Has all the relevant info, details, background.

The short answer is that yes it is possible to interface an aftermarket radio with the Bose amplifiers/speakers.

Find a better installer.
