ATTN: Maximadave -- Another Dreaded Kenwood Question

Dave, I posted this on a previous thread, but I figured I would ask you because you have first hand knowledge:

Is the Kenwood KDC-MP8017 compliant with satellite radio? If not, or if so, what other things would need to be purchased to be able to use Satellite Radio?

I was also looking on the Sirius website, and it listed the Kenwood KDC-MP919 and KDC-MP819 as Kenwood MP3 players that were Sirius radio compliant. When I performed a search on the Internet for these two receivers, I found absolutely nothing. Are these units available yet? If not, when will they be available? Will your company carry these products?

I had the Pioneer Premiere DEH-P730 and sold it, along with my XM equipment. Now that I am switching back to Kenwood, I want an MP3 player that will have Satellite Radio capabilities.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks,

C.D.

This is kind of off subject but one other thing to consider is that blitzsafe is going to be releasing an adaptor to convert kenwood sirius to xm radio. This is going to retail any where between 100 and 130 dollars I believe that this is being released in may which is a month or two ahead of sirius's scheduled nationwide launch of june or july.

Dave, You gotta let me know what's going on. According to Crutchfield, neither of the other two MP3 players have ever been available.

The models might be imports or not available yet since Alpine and Kenwood are now shipping their new 2002 models. I'm not sure which models have what features since I have no 2002 catalogs from Alpine or Kenwood yet. They will probably come in with the shipment...I'll keep you posted.

Couldn't have asked for anything more. I appreciate it.
