What you have to do is pull out the BOSE Sub. Then use the speaker level inputs on your amp and run them to your rear deck speakers. You should get pretty nice bass once that is accomplished. I have a 97 SE with BOSE I used to have two RF 12 XLC'S hooked up to the rf 500a.2 and it sound great I would recommend it to anyone. Let me know if you have anty furhter questions. Charles

So I will be running the speaker level inputs from my amp to the sub woofers right? I will no longer be using the Bose woofer with this setup? Will I need any kind of low-high cross over device or anything?

Right don't even use the BOSE sub it is garbage. Your amp should have a crossover built-in if not buy an aftermarket one. Charles

I did what blackie did.. Had the almost exact same setup too..RF 500.2 w/ one RF XLC 12" in a ported box..It sounded ok..I don't think it's what you are looking for..You will need the bose adapter..If I were you I would get rid of the bose system and re do it..U just gotta work around too many things..Plus the bass control on the bose limits you and it gets distorted and..ahh dont get me started i'm out,,late

Get the bose adapter that plugs behind teh head unit and lets you run rcas. taking the signal from the rear kills overall sound quality. dont ask me why,,,,,it just does (for me anyway). with the adapter it sounds perfect, and i really like my bose.

So the bose adapter just plugs directly to the back of my stock bose HU? Do I need to rewire anything? Do I have to remove like some wire that goes from my bose woofer to the HU and just plug this adapter in its place, and then run rca cables to my new woofers?
