Re: Best 10" Sub under $300?
Beleive it or not JL audio W6 was considered the best long time ago.
Not anymore.
Image Dynamics IDQ-10 or ARC audio ARC sub has already been prooven to be better by the IASCA judjes. They also cost less, around 200 dollars each. They have dual voice coil. They have deeper and tighter base.

I know if you type either Image Dynamics
or Arc Audio in the search engine, it'll give you the site.
See, I've ordered my 4 tens of Arc Audio from my friend. He is the only dealer in San Diego so gives you warranty on them too. If you decide that you want to get any of those, you can let me know and I'll ask my friend to take care of you. (He'll give you the price less then retail).

I have 2 10" Infinity Kappa Perfect subs in custom built and matched sealed boxes in my 00 Silverado. They're pretty nice. They don't hit all that hard considering I have a JBL 600.1 amp w/ it's own dedicated 1 farad cap going to them. But they do have great SQ. If you only need bass from about 85Hz on down and you don't care all that much about going def, you just want something that sounds clean and refined. You can't go wrong with them.
Although I've never heard the Eclipse, I can tell you they sound better than the JL Audio W6.

if u have never heard the eclipse's, how can you say they are better than the JL's? For some reason I feel JL just makes a better product. I'm going to audition the JL W6 v2 this weekend in my car and see how I like them.

What I meant was: I've never heard the eclipse sub, but I have heard the JL audio and I can tell you that the Infinity sounded cleaner to me... although not as loud.

Image Dynamics wins all the comps. Try to listen to this one, although it's very rare, so you'll have to find out more if there's a dealership in your city.
