Componets...

I'm sitting here reading posts, and I thought to my self (SELF!). I have the bose system and was wondering if I should get some componets, instead of a single alpine r10. Yes I know I have to have to buy an amp cause the factories are built in to the speakers, I know also that I will not get the same bass from componets. But what do you think is more worth my money? And more so can I just install some componets with a stock Head Unit? Oh BTW i got like 300 for everything amp and componets.

components won't really sound better than stock

without an amp. get some efficient speakers. I have the eclipse 6.5 coaxials from maximadave, sound great with just HU power.

i got them from $80 a pair.

I think I would agree with "seven". If you are not able to get an amp right now, I would say get some good efficient coaxials. Save the money you have left, and later on when you can get an amp, put it on the coaxials, then after that, maybe get the components, and you can move the coaxials to the back and components in front. I put a pair of coaxials in place of factory spkrs until I got my amp and components. Sounded better than factory,,,but when I put my components in with the amp(also pushing coaxials)....WOW, that was improvement!!

So that's what I think....if amp now--then components now,,,,,no amp now--get good efficient coaxials for now.

...One step at a time is always better than no steps at all,,,IF you're stepping in the right direction...

Just my two....DMAN
