audio system in 95 max help

Just wondering is it easy to intall a amp for the nissan maxima car. I want the amp to be in the trunk. I need help figuring how to connect wires from the batter and rca cables from the reciever and i know there are more cables. I think i will need 8 gauge wiring. How much does it cost for bestbuys or circuitcity to install the wires? Please i kinda want to save money. thanks

well you can pick up a amp kit that will take care of all of your wiring for one amp if you have two amps then you would need two amp kits.

if you have a stock radio it would be good if you got a hi low converter. stock radios don't have rca s. if you have a after market radio then it will be easier. let me know what else you would need to know.

there isn't one. you have two choices.

1. drill a hole in the fire wall.

2. run the wire through the driver side fender.
bring the power wire from the batterey to the fender.
(you will have to jack the car up and take out the plastic linig in your wheel well) that is where all the wires go from the engine bay into the cabin. just run the power wire next to all the other wires you can zip tie them to the stock wires when you are done. runthem through the ruber grommets and fish teh wire through.

yup that is exactly where i put my hole. i didn't realize that i could have went through the wheel well or else that would have been the route i would have used. the things is that triangl epiece syou are reffering to is where the clutch pedal would have been so if the thought of a 5spd tranny swap ever crossed your mind then don't dmake that hole there.

naw i don't think i would be doing a swap with a manual. to much money and i am only 17.where am i going get that kind of money, and i think the max should be an auto. its more luxury car then a sport car. can by the way, where did you ground your amp. i want my amp to be in the trunk, but i don't where to ground it? Is there a bolt somewhere in the trunk?

find a good place for a ground. sand of the paint until you see metal and taht a sheet metal screw and screw it in. bam there is your ground. make sure the screw isn't to long. about 1/2 an inch should be the longest.
