When I turn on my car I hear a small "pop" coming from the speakers. I recently (last night) put in an older Nissan AM/FM/CD into my '98 GXE. Now it makes this pop sound. Any ideas?

Not sure but everytime I got a 'pop' coming from my speakers (and it would mainly happen when I turned on my car...then it started happening as I was driving) they ended up blowing on me...

You might want to check the connections to the speaker from the head unit, or amp. . . it may be that one of the connections is slipping out, becomming disconnected, causing you to hear this pop.

Hmm....I'll give that a try. I'm pretty sure I pushed those plugs in there pretty good. I'll check that before I pull it out for good. No point in having a POS in there.

Maybe the gain on your amp is too high

What does that mean? And can I adjust something like that on an OEM unit? I wouldn't think so.
