has anyone used linear power amps? i might buy one from a guy to power 3 12's. if u know anything about them let me know. or if u have an amp that could power 3 12's and not too expensive, please let me know. thanks

What are the three twelves? How many voice coils and what impedance per coil? This makes a huge impact on the amp you choose.

 

they are the jl W0. i dont know exactly what they run at but what amp would u choose? im looking for probably an 800-1000 rms amp. thanks

I would find an amp to deliver that power at the load those speakers present. This is necessary information for the bass you desire. Some people get lucky and install the right amp the first time. Others sit and wonder why their system doesn't thump. And then there are those who do the homework and know what they need.

 

linear power is high quality stuff.. haven't seen them in years, so I don't know what models are out there or for what power..

I used to have one that was rated about 1000w rms, and it tested at 1600w.
