Anyone seen this before?

More important, has anyone used this?: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=1353736337 Did it work good for you? Is it junk? I'm just wondering. I'm not really into high end stereo stuff. Got my amp and alarm, with my Pioneer Premeir HU, but it would be nice if I could run my mini disc player or my portable DVD player in my car over the speakers. let me know what you guys think...

It is a viable alternative, but there is one thing to consider. If you take a signal, convert it to FM, broadcast it, receive it and turn it back into a signal, you are gonna lose some frequency content at the low and high end. This is just the way FM works. So keep in mind if you are purchasing this item to get a crips clear signal that is totally unaltered, you won't get it. Just word to the wise!!

Thanks. I'm not looking for super clear sound, I know it won't be as good as getting a DVD HU, I just want it for trips and stuff, like I said, I'm not into Car stereo. I'm just worried it will adversely affect my radio reception, or cause other problems.

mtrai760,

What Dustyroads said was absolutely correct, this is the same technology they used hooking up CD changers to OEM headunits with seperate control modules.

It might be a consideration in a leased vehicle or a finacially embarassed install.

I guess I fit in your finacially embarased install catagory then.
