Ground Wire unplugged while driving :( help.

Hi,
I was driving around, listening to my finally completed (lol yeah right) system; and I pulled a 3 pointer. I was on a hill and a car was coming so I semi nailed it, anyway, i heard the sub box slide (i need to stabilize it.) so then I noticed that they stoped thumping because the ground wire was yanked from the amp .
anyway, there was a burning smell, but im almost 100% sure thats from the exhaust-when I drive hard......). anyway, it was late so ill investigate it tommarrow, but what do you guys think happened to the amp/subs when that happened?

thank you
MrGone

btw. incase you guys have been following my progress, i finally have my system complete for the most part.

It could have been any number of things. When you see the condition of wiring and components it will give you a lot of information, most likely. In a similar incident my sub squashed an RCA and yanked a few others free from an amp. It was pretty odd because every thing that happened only affected left channel RCA's, and the speaker wire comeing from the left channel of the amp to the second voice coil of a sub. I thought my left channel had blown out, as It was cranked pretty high at the time. Ended up replaceing a couple RCA's and repositioning the temporary sub set-up.

i just checked it out (again, but in the daylight). it was nothing to bad, plugged it in and listen to a song, everythings a go. I tightened the nut down abit harder this time.
Now i just need to stabilize the box. im probably going to use a cable and wrap it around the seat posts.

Now if I could just get some recommendations on my exhaust. when you guys drive hard, does your exhaust start to smell?
I think its the Catty Converter.
thanks
