Have a 96 gxe maxima. I want to upgrade by adding a cd changer in the botton DIN hole... HAve the changer OEM, looking for what I need to do, coz I dont have a CD button on my stock tape/am-fm player. What options do I have.. By the Way its not a BOSE system.

Do I need a CD button type stock stereo? Anyone has one? Mine is 96, what all year models can I try on mine? I really dont want to hassle with harness modifs...

I have a 95 and I installed it.Your stock stereo doesnt need a cd button. When you press play on the cd it automatically switches to cd from stock radio and vice versa. It works perfectly. Everything plugs in directly into the other one. a monkey could do the install
