This is more complex than the simple math equations suggest. A pair of 3 ohm woofers wired in parallel yields 1.5 ohms. But only if the speakers really are 3 ohms to begin with. Add to that the fact that the impedance varies with frequency and box design. And then consider that resistance increases as the wires and voice coil heat up. So the more power you send the speaker, the higher the impedance will be. It might work fine, or it might overheat. But with the quality of MTX products you can expect that a fuse will blow or the amp will shut off before the amp burns out.

Well, MTX hasn't exactly proven their quality to me with this amp. It first blew after I had it for 3 month, and them after 1.5 month later when they sent it back, it was still not working. So I am a little worried about running it outside it's limit. I am going to run 2 audiobahn alum15x's with dual 6ohm coils. They will be in a sealed bod with ~1.25cuf of space.Do you think the amp can handle that?
