step light circuit question

I think I know why my step light stopped functioning. I was putting in a home-built LED bulb the other day to try it out, and I accidentally connected the 2 metal leads inside the clip (I was being stupid). Now it doesn't go on at all, and I can't find any blown fuses. What did I do? Can someone please help me figure out how to fix this?

Thanks,

Doug

P.S. I don't recommend trying to use a small screwdriver to pry out stubborn 194 bulbs

I think you might have shorted the circuit in the Body Control Module. Hook up a meter to the steplight to see if you have current.

That's what I was thinking.. how do I check that BCM circuit? There is obviously no current going through the steplight since no bulbs will light up in it.
