E-bay has a Dutch sale going on for the 12" subs at$150 each. Now as far as I know, that's cheap. My question is, how good are they? I have been told they sound great, but how about build wise? They are NIB with warranty. Also, the same company has 1 farad Lightning Audio Caps, with digital Display for $100 each.

They be ayight. A good mid level sub, fairly efficient and clean. At their normal price I think they are a bit overpriced, lots of good subs in that price range. And it's not a true cool aluminum design like my alumapros But at that price it's a pretty good buy, so I'd say go for it if you want em now and thats what you wanna pay.

Ya, I want to try the Alumapro's

But $150 isn't too bad. Of course there's still the Steathbox to consider......

Check out http://math.osu.edu/~ccunning/maxima/alchemy.html

If you got power, the Crystal subs are nice too. If you buy JL's, I'll never speak to you again! The nice thing about my alumapros is that with 2 12's, the box is 14"x14"x28", nice and tiny, only .65 ft^3 per side

I've read the article you've posted.

And I've been thinking about geting one. Only catch is I only have 150 watts to run a sub off of. I know steathboxes like up to 300, but I've been wanting to buy one just to pi$$ you off! Seriously, I like 10W6's, and I like the design. I've been debating if it would be better to build a custom enclosure it put a sub in or stick with the steathbox. I wish there was someone in my area that had one to hear, but I'm all alone in the sticks. Just have to wait and see I guess...

hey...i have perfect 10's

can u give me the link to where that sale is going on? do they carry 10's??...anyway, 150 is DIRT cheap..on crutchfield the 10's go for 300 a peice..i'm sure the 12's cost a bit more..the cone is made of aluminum unlike what some other fellow said!!....the casing is REAL nice and heavy and the magnet is heavy as ****...the chunky rubber surround gives them sooo much excursion..i used to have JL 10w3's..they seem so skimpy compared to the perfects...i have the 10's in a teeny box and they POUND NICELY...i have a jbl 600.1 amp running them..the only complaint i have about them is that the wire that goes from the cone to the pole is sooooo thin...i don't know why they designed them like that..one of my wires broke away from the pole and i had to get it resoldered...anyway, let me know where this deal is going on...

I didn't say they weren't aluminum cones, I said it wasn't a cool aluminum design. The alumapros have an aluminum cone and an aluminum voice coil former which is fused to the cone with a heat conductive compound, so that the cone acts as a giant heat sink to cool the VC. The perfects just have an aluminum cone...
