if you have the bose system, youll have to do a complete upgrade, the speakers are 1 ohm and they run off of their own separate amp.

6 3/4

Actually, I believe they are an oversized 6.5, aka 6.75. But many 6.5 speakers come with adapter rings to fit a 6.75 hole (which I think is why a lot of people will just tell you it's a 6.5...)

Actually I have 6 1/2 s all around with NO adapter rings and they were no prob to fit in.

Really? That's good news.

My research said that 6.5's needed an adapter ring, or perhaps a frame that had them "designed-in". I saw a bunch of posts that mentioned the possibility of having to build an adapter out of MDF or something for 6.5's.

Also, Crutchfield lists some speakers as 6.5's, some as 6.75's, and some as 6.5/6.75's. Maybe yours was one of the latter type?

But if 6.5's fit w/o any extra work necesssary, all the better! (Lots more choices)

p.s. What kind of speakers?

I used Diamond Audio Hex up front and Diamond Aduio M3 coax for rear fill. Dont get me wrong they didnt exactly line up with the factory screw holes...but it wasnt real extensive modification.
