has anyone ever used the factory rear active amp?

I have a set of 300watt 6 and a half rear speakers and i want to use the factory rear active speaker amp for a 3rd gen to power them has anyone ever done this? seeing as to how the speakers are 300w im not too concerned about blowing them. anyway let me know what you think

Fine if you're just replacing the factory 6 3/4. It is a bit noisy, and I'd recommend against it. I used the output from my aftermarket head, until I add my rear channel amp. Just do a search on the 3rd gen board.

I used the factory amp on my 6x9s for a couple weeks before I got my HU in. Not the greatest means of amplification but it was good enough for a couple weeks.
