I'm confused as to what you mean by dash kit. You mean the brushed aluminum around the console/headunit? If so, I do not have that. If you mean the opening below the headunit where there is a cd case sitting, not I do not have that. I have the bracket that goes around the outside of that to make the console flush (it is shown in the pictures). I'm not sure the differences between an 01 and 99 as far as audio goes, but I had a Bose system still in my car, and the headunit worked with it, as is. No wires were taken off when I uninstalled the headunit, so as far as I can tell, it should work on your car.
