F/S Clarion PN-2144U 6 disc CD changer

IF you are looking for a NICE addition to your factory Bose radio this is it. Clarion 6 Disc CD changer all plug and play, will operate with your Bose radio via the CD changer button. Comes with plug and play Harness, trunk floor mount bracket and plug and play Harness. Changer is in great condition. This was mounted in my 97 Nissan Maxima. Asking for $100 or best offer. Item is located in Bergen County NJ so a local pick up if fine. I will accept Paypal or money order. No personal checks.

No I didn't find this to be a problem at all. As long as you mount it properly you should be fine. I mean if you hit a hard enough bump the CD skipping shouldn't be your only concern.

Sorry for the delay.
These are all the plugs that are in the Harness. It should work for 95 thru 99 maximas with Bose or Clarion. It is also said that it would work for 2001/2001 but dont quote me on that.

did you look at the pic of the connecotr plugs?. Clarion makes the Bose headunits.. it just has the Bose name on it. Try a search on that and the fact that Clarion Makes the Bose heaunits for 4th gens. I really don't see how it wouldn't work. It worked with Bose headunit and it should work with non Bose as well . Try contacting Courtesy Nissan and see if it will work. I couldn't get an answer from Clarion because they do not have a technical Dept anymore.

I think it will work. The only connector that looks out of place is the one in the middle in your pic - four lead square with yellow 'tape' on it. And also, how does the wide connector in the top of your pic connect? In the car there already is a connector in the stereo that looks just like that (in the black slot on the right in my pic.) So how would I hook it up?

I've never seen this setup, so Im sorry for so many questions. Im just trying to understand this before i jump in.

...and then there's this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-99...RCHQ3aUSQ3a101

which replaces both, the head unit and the 6 disc changer..

And here in his item description for maxima cd changers (same model # as yours, CV737) he states that "it may need to be reprogrammed by the dealer to work":

not all the connectors are used if I remember correctly. They may be for different applications. One of these connectors will plug into the headunit. You will see if you buy it.
As for the reprograming thing.. I don't see why that would be necessary.

Yes! it does have CD Changer button! I think they all do, since they are all the same units (some differences between Bose and non-Bose.) But all the ones I've seen all have the same connections in the back. Some units have a remote connection? I am not sure what that is for.

Quote for Clarion 6 Disc CD Changer

I would definitely like to purchase this Clarion CD changer as a replacement. I need only the CD changer and magazine. Your quoted price is $100. I offer $75 and can use either PayPal or money order whatever you prefer. Please email me with your response at lawrencedove@sbcglobal.net. Thanks [/quote]
