Auto X Maryland Area?
I've been autocrossing in the D.C. area for five or so years. There is a schedule at www.autocrossers.org.
The SCCA events are held at FedEx Field and are larger, more competitive events. They are split into two sessions (morning and afternoon) meaning you have to be there several hours to compete. I haven't been participating in the FedEx events because of the time commitment (three little kids at home). They are also "run by class" whereby you can't choose your session.
The other events have been held at Rosecroft Raceway. They are less formal events that are split into four sessions - a lot less of a time committment. The lot at Rosecroft isn't the best, but the events are generally well run and enjoyable.
