rim size

What is the best rim size for road racing. (The stock 15" sawblades. 16" 300zx rims etc, 17" ) I know this is a broad question but to get the best balance between acceleration and handling performance what is the best rim size(looks not a factor, but money is) in your opinion.

Thanks for any responses.

16 or 17. I'm running 235/45/17 on mine now, and I like them better than my 225/50/16. Kumho 712 on both of them. the 17s were about 10lb heavier each, but they still cornered better.
If you track where there's a lot of acceleration and braking, then 16s are the way to go. if you run at tracks that are heavy in cornering and not as much gas/brake, then 17s will probably do better.
Either that or you can just get a lower profile 16" tire to keep a short sidewall... and remember it'll throw off your speedo.
