4th gen steelines are pretty heavy..
Z32 wheels are 16x8 and about 16lb.. can get them pretty cheap too..

there are many many other aftermarket brands out there that are lighter though.. what size are you looking for and how much are you willing to pay?

Sorry but this is miss info and its every where. z32 16x7.5 na or turbo fronts don't weight 16 lbs. My data shows they weight 19.5 to 20 lbs a piece. The stock 16" 4gen wheels also weight 20 lbs but are only 16x6.5 How do I know I have a set for my auto-z wheels. My z32 rim + 225/50/16 S-02 weights 42.5 lbs and my s-02 weight no more that 23lbs.

I've been looking for cheap light wheels also. The best price performance I could find is Rota Sub Zeros. I was looking at the 17x7.5 the weight less than 17lbs and i found a group deal for them for $500 shipped. They either have a 45 or 48 mm offset. The only thing i don't like is the center caps don't fit when then are mounted on a maxima.

Here is the place that has the lowest prices i can fid for rota wheels

I believe Spaniard, who drives his Max on track uses Rota wheels. May want to contact him and see his opinions on the matter. He's got good driving experience, so check his posts or get in touch with him.

Used '96~'97 Infiniti I30 touring BBS wheels, 15 x 6.5 and about 13.5 pounds each. I got 3 rims from a junkyard for $160 and an org member gave me one for working on his car. Im gonna use these with a 225/50/15 tire for auto-x and track use. And on another noter the stock 15" sawblades weigh almost 20 pounds not 16...

i've seen 16-16.5 quoted in multiple places for the 15" sawblades. if thats accurate, they seem to be the best oem wheels to use based on what everyone has said.

I know someone who actually weighed them on a digital scale that's accurate to less than a gram. The 15" sawblade was 19.xx pounds on the scale, I will ask him again but im pretty sure that's what he found. The BBS wheels weigh 13 pouds 10 ounces, this was done on a post office weight scale so again it's accurate. I weighed the BBS wheels on my bathroom scale and they were 12 pounds, so I don't trust what weights people tell me unless they use calibrated scales.

I bought some Rota Slipstream 16x7 after I saw them on Spaniard's car and how light and cheap they are. The 16s are 14lbs and the 15s are 12lbs. They only cost about $130 a piece too.

seems strange they'd use such high tech/light weight tires on the infinity... are they hard to come by?

car-part.com

If you want, you can also get Q45 BBS wheels which are 15 x 7 and if IIRC weigh 14~15 pounds each.

You can have them shipped if their are none close to you, but I recomend checking them out in person if you find ones nearby. The ones I got are missing the "Infiniti" center caps and they all got a little curb rash. I really don't care since there for track use, but if you want a set in mint shape expect to pay a bit.

WOW what a difference...

Got my I30 BBS wheels mounted and balanced today, with an alignment as well. I can tell you going from a 56 pound wheel to a 34 pound wheel makes quite a difference.

My old setup was 17 x 8 MOMO arrows with 235/45/17 Wan Li tires (previous owners setup). The new setup is 15 x 6.5 BBS I30 wheels with 225/50/15 Toyo T1-S tires. The reduced weight and better gearing def make this car fly, at first I didn't notice it but now there is quite a difference. Also those Toyos are no joke even though with a smaller width they grip much better.

Hmm, you're right... I always took what was said for granted as being correct.
I finally just pulled out a spare Z32 wheel from my backyard and it's indeed 16x 7.5 and weighs 18lb 10oz. (just under 19lb).

the rear of the turbo version are 1" wider (8.5") of course, but they're still heavier than I thought.

Kinda depends on what tire size you're looking to mount. I've been happy with Rota, Kosei, Nissan, and even Honda wheels. All $50-$140 depending on sources.
