First time racing

Well i went to the road course and did some racing today. It was a real blast ( i'm gonna do it again when i have the money). My 91 held up fine except for the mastercraft tires ( no grip). Could anyone recamend a good inexpensive tire (15"/16") for road racing?

Find someone with a current Grassroots motorsports magazine, they just reviewed a bunch of tires for auto-x, road racing and STS class. I am not sure if GRM has the same info on their website or not, but you could check.

I've been happy with my Hankook ventus R-S2's, although I've only used them for small course autocross. They have excellent grip, they appear not to be wearing too fast, and they are inexpensive to boot. check out www.edgeracing.com for best prices.
