auto-cross vid from 2/18 at Ripken, Md

EDIT: include video from 2/18 auto-x
post with video

Irish,
I don't think it's going to happen, it's getting too warm and whatever snow was on the Ripken lot is reportedly melting quickly. Unless something really unusual happens I don't think it will be snowing for the next event in March either.
Maybe next year?

I didn't think you actually lurked around on Fridays during the day, other than starting the Friday thread it's rare, boss out today?

I just realized that 3/18 is at Warminster, so I seriously doubt you would drive all the hell the way up PAST me for that. It is at the abandoned airstrip I have previously mentioned though, supposedly a 3rd gear course, I think I may go up there to check it out.

no chance I'm getting up early and driving ANYWHERE the day after St. Patrick's day.....that's gonna be a long, rowdy night, I'm sure. BTW, I work longer days, so I have every 2nd friday off

if it was a different saturday....who knows. Warminster is 180 miles from here

I'll probably kick off the season with the small CDC event on March 25th in Frederick, MD.....just to see what all the new stuff on the car feels like and make sure nothing is "wrong" I don't really like that lot, but want to get in a "test and tune" before hitting a real event.

and then the Ripken event on April 1st...

Well, I plan to run the Warminster event because I've heard so many things about how wide open it is.
Are you committed to that April 1st date? I can't go every Ripken event because some are on Saturdays that my wife has to work, but I am pretty sure April 1st is open.
OR are you just pulling a waaaayyyy premature April fools?

obviously can't commit this far in advance (hell, the registration isn't even open yet) - but I think that would be a good day for the VA vs. MD vs. PA autocross get-together, don't you?

note though, that at that event, Gstock is running in the morning session (I will be running SM, as will the Jason miata (SM2)....are you gonna run in the a.m. or switch to a different class for the afternoon.

I'm going to suggest that any other org guys who want to do battle (but don't usually autocross), just register as non-comp in the afternoon session....

I really have no shot of winning anything in GS anyway, I have no problems either running non-comp or STS or something.

As far as the VA vs. MD vs. PA autocross get-together, some of those guys probably won't make it to the am session anyway, but yes it should be a good day.

Yeah it was definitly NOT a "snow-cross", but there was some video that a Sentra guy took, he hits a bird while on a run. I didn't go, I am going to go to the 3/18 auto-x at Warminster.

Video of 2/18 auto-x

And some posted picts if anyone cares
