Nobody running auto-x this season?

I know some of us have some more pressing issues than beating up our cars.....(kids, houses..etc..etc..)
I just don't remember this board being quite this dead.

gdmax, Bejay any of you guys running this season?

btw, that's an awful lot of dive-in for having coilovers....are you using the standard springs on the BCs or did you uprate them?

nope, those are standard 8k - front/6k - rear. I don't think it's a dive-in though, I got my front ride height set to 26" (which is equivalent to 1.9 - 2.0" of drop)

It's a bit hard here, but here's how it looks when there are no lateral forces acting on the car:

how did he get a G-meter to show up on the video? I don't think I've ever seen that aside from pro racing. That's cool as hell, that's for sure.....

More and more data aquisition systems are doing that for amateur now. Usually in the $500-$1000 level. I'm actually toying with the idea of taking my basic Auterra feed and laying it onto a independent video (el cheap) just to get speeds, RPM's, etc. to show up.

I'll probably start later this season...many issues and excuses--none of which are that great to be honest...but nonetheless, I am avoiding someone who frequently autocrosses locally whom I don't want to see anymore...so that is part of it...

gawd...it must suck to be a course worker there. Looks like the perfect course for a beefy land-yacht......lots of straights, hardly any technical sections.

I need a course like that around here

Then bring your a$$ to FedEX, I was on the limiter in second at three places last sunday. I should have even shifted into third. It was all sweepers and slaloms, no tight turns like the ripken course.

our house is now "under contract" closing August 1st.

bid on the "new" house has been sent, will get the counter tomorrow.

by the end of august, the GT6 should be towed up here.

by the end of auguet 2009 it should be ready to hit the track.

I'll let you see it in a few years when it's actually track-worthy. With a new house and a baby on the way, it's not going to be done quickly

No one on this board but me knows what you are talking about.....

I actually finished top 3-5 once in GS at Boeing....unfortuneately I didn't know you could get a "trophy" for that.....however.....that was before the Mini-invasion....

How are you Norm? Irish was just running at Ripken....I might make a trip down in Aug or Sep....

I haven't been quite as active this year. Other family business and a dropping tolerance for heat/humidity have conspired against me.

Irish must have picked up an AI event, because Philly Region hasn't been there since March 17.

Where Philly Region has been running quite a few times lately is at Warminster Community Park. It's an abandoned runway site, so the courses are basically slalom/lane change for a quarter mile or so out, U-turn, and repeat on the way back. But the courses have been fast. Got a couple more there, if that venue is closer for you.
