GPS datalog processing

Is there software that can compute lap times, acceleration, braking, G's, etc? Either real-time, or downloaded/imported from my gps. Thanks!

Depends on the quality of your GPS - resolution & refresh rate. Try this for more.

I have BU-353 and another one.

That link's kinda what I'm looking for, but I don't need the hardware, just software. Looks like they don't sell separately. Although, eventually, it'd be cool to link physical performance data w/engine management data.

It's not mainstream but you could try playing with this

This is not exactly what you are looking for but a Motec dealer showed me the newest dash setup for the race car that you can run your car on the outside of the track and the inside of the track and then when you go around the track you can go to Google Earth and it will show your race line around the track from above.

Wait, I don't get it when u say inside and outside the track. Please clarify.

Yeah, I'm looking for performance data, like the info you see in car magazines. The ChronoGPS that BEJAY1 posted is pretty close to what I need (acceleration and braking), I want to add lateral G's, if that can be computed w/gps data.

My datalogging can show me the path I'm taking, and I overlay w/Google Earth. That's no problem.

I think he means the left edge of the track and the right edge of the track. then when you drive your race line you can see how close you get to the edges of the track because you will have an outline of the track in the gps.
If its a circle track, you could call it inside and outside I guess (motec does a lot of nascar stuff).

That's pretty cool, and I can see how that can be useful in auto-x w/the walk-thru. Kinda harder to do it on a larger track that's more than a mile long, but I guess I can do it during the 2 mandatory warmup laps.
