99Maxwell,

Please tell us you didn't "gift" him the money.... If you did, you're SOL, if you didn't, file a claim NOW.

Because ppl have trust, I can safely say everyone here who's purchased from has sent payments as gifts to me, some havent but almost everyone has, but I'm the type to deliver 100%, if you don't know or can't trust someone pay the 3% and you will be covered,

I have been following this from the very beginning, and it's getting worse everyday, greenspeed has bought parts from. Me several times I never had an issue,I bought from him one time few months ago no prob, but clearly that usnt the story here, but as you being the seller here you should clear all this up since others are def. not happy with you, intentionally or not you def. messed up while selling them items, and you should fix this up rather than letting it escalate

you avoid the fee, if you dont use gift and actually pay the fee, its insurance incase someone douchebags out like Greenspeed and doesnt ship the item. Paypal will solve the dispute, with gift youre on your own

I get that, it was a rhetorical question. If I'm buying something I'm not gifting unless it's someone that I've bought from before and trust. If not, and I'm feeling nice and have a good vibe I'll throw in a few extra bucks to cover the paypal fees

The seller is supposed to absorb the paypal fees...Paypal even states so in their policy. Personally, I despise sellers that ask the buyer to pay the fees...

most good sellers would know about the fees and thus price their items accordingly...

Thanks c Elliott for filling them in for me!

Well yes, I sent it as a gift unfortunately I was way to trusting. It was my first purchase from the .org and honestly like my second time using PayPal. I called my bank and waited on hold for too long so I hung up because I had to go to work. I will go to my bank tmrw and see if they can help me. That's what PayPal told me to do.

Hopefully there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I called him and left a voicemail saying I was going to call the police, which if the bank cannot help me I'm going straight to the police station or call the chesterfield PD and talk to them.

**** this guy.

That's great Joe, good to hear. I think only one other fellow didn't gift him the money unfortunately.

Greenspeed hasn't logged in for two weeks now, and clearly has no intentions of making things right. Time for the BANhammer...

He hasnt posted on craigslist either. His old ads are still up but nothing new since last week or the week before.

Question?
Since paypal is mostly connected to ones bank account, when they refund you money, the bank covers it and goes after the account holder just like a bad check correct?

If they refund enough and being here in Virginia they will hit him with a felony bad check and a grand larceny depending on how the bank wants to pursue it.

I checked my mail today and to my surprise I received the tensioner pulley I purchased from him almost a month ago! However, now I've already bought another one so I'm pissed but oh well. At least he sent it.

If people are still getting authorities involved, his address might have changed. The package he sent has a return address of:

L Adams
2224 Concorde Ave
Richmond, VA 23234

Google Maps Street View

Definately not the house from his original address and definately not the house in the pics for his craigslist ads. I believe he is just throwing out random addresses. Not to mention the L. Adams name. His name is Errol Jamal Adams. The L falls nowhere in place, besides from searching i suspect his mothers name to begin with a L. So mow beinging other people into his scam. Still shady as fukc. And still a p.o.s. I also suspect he is stalking the thread under guest.

For those of you who gifted the money, call Paypal and explain the situation. Tell them you and 3 others got screwed. Offer to link them to this thread. Worth a shot, although your chances of them helping you are slim.

Here's where we are so far.

Maxima Joe - refunded thanks to Paypal
Maxima Style - refunded thanks to Paypal
PowertotheMax - lost $90
Sparkyssb - received pulley 3-4 weeks later
99Maxwell - lost $50

It's obvious greenspeed isn't going to make things right, or even attempt to give his "side of the story". More than enough time has passed.

I just let it go. It was obviously my fault I gifted the money. Oh well, I got free springs from another purchase and I'm quite happy with the drop.

You should try to fight it. Isn't 10-15 minutes of your time worth $200?

For me it was $90. I think my chances of seeing that money are slim. And well, i had my fault in it too, I admit it. You live and learn. I'm not going to stress about it. I've stressed about my Max so much when I first bought it (result of a dead tranny scam) but now I love it.

Another thing to note/learn. Anytime you see someone drop their price from $200 to $90 in a matter of days is typically desperate and quit possibly a scammer.
