JWT Customer service

Just wanted to post a thread in reguards to the terrible customer service Ive received from Jim Wolf Tech. on numerous occasions. It seems like Im bothering when I call for tech. support on some of their products. Not to mention that all in all Im not that impressed with their cams or their chip. Ive been waiting for my core refund on my computer for quite awhile now and I cant get a straight answer on its status. I would have to say if you can avoid dealoing with them I would. Thanks for listening all.

Man that is bad for them to treat you that way. Also how much power on the dyno did you gain with the cams and did you get headwork done at the sametime? Generally to save downtime others buy a spare ECU, then others have had more success going through another company to get JWT produces. I recently put in JWT S3 cams in my se-r and I like them. Its not an earth shattering difference, but its noticeable.

I am also sorry to hear that Ben Pila the technical supprt guy when I was calling was always helpful and all. I just swaped my JWT ECu w/n20 daughterboard with Johnnymax from Cardomain.com I got his straight up JWT ECU and it works great cept my car is wrecked so I cannot go anywhere and most likely will just turn around and sell this ECU as I am probably going to total my car or here's hoping at this point. If so I will sell the ECU, Headlights, etc. if anyone is interested.

Matthel (Turbo95Max) had alot of problems with them as well. His thread was pretty huge, it's interesting reading.

I just dont understand companies these days. They dont seem to think ahead. Look at the exposure your post is going to get. I know I would think twice before buying something big from them now.

Same thing happened to me with GUDE cams for my 95 SI. I posted that on a Honda board and got over 700 views.

Sorry about that dude. Document everything and take it to the top if necessary. That will make them think twice in the future.

It should never be a bother when a customer calls!

I get the feeling from a few of these companies that just because Im not a big spender that they dont need to treat me as well. To date WSP has had the best customer relations. Ive always had responses from my e-mails and the lady that answers the phones is very friendly. Maybe I should tell JWT to call WSP and get some tips.
I did gain quite a bit from the cams and computer but I havent had a chance to dyno the car yet.

You should get some of those adjustable cam gears for dyno tuning. Could pick up a few additional ponies. ANd as far as spending goes, I'd say the ECU and cams ARE in fact big ticket items, but regardless of that, service should always be at the least curteous. I think JWT needs some competition. Stillen comes in second as far a s prices go, so what we need is someone to undercut both their prices AND give good service. Now all I need is a business plan, a dyno, machine tools, and I'll be on my way to putting JWT in the dumps!

Yeah I agree, whether its a headlight bulb, or a full racing kit, the service should not change. Its called consistency.

Open a business!

I wanted to know if they tested or rebuilt the old ecu, or are they simply modding the incomming ECU's thinking they are in perfect operating condition. They could replace all the transistors inside, for someone thats experienced its an easy job and would help justify the cost of the upgraded ECU.

I am unsure of exactly what all they do, why not call their support and find out.

Sorry that isn't much help but it is all I got right now.

Sorry late response. They test all ECU's. Matter of fact you dont recieve your core deposit till they test your unit and its good.
