Custom Maxima is on BS

I don't know if many of you remember, but a wheek ago Custom Maxima had their ACT stage 2 and stage 3 clutches listed the other way around. http://custommaxima.com/ACT.php I called ACT and was told that the four pauk disk should be the stage 3 and the six pauk should be stage 2. When I told Custom Maxima the situation, the guy told me that their info is right and they have been selling the clutches for over 2 years. My problem is that I ordered the stage 2 (four pauk) back in the day, and all I wanna do is to exchange it although all I got from them was bunch of bullsh!t. So did anybody else order a clutch from Custom Maxima and didn't know about this problem?

Faulk!

The question is, why did you buy something other than their street set-up? Or is that what you meant to buy? ie.. organic disk with upgraded PP?

I'd go with what the ACT site lists because a 4-puck ain't no stage 1(although ACT doesn't have stage 1,2,3 etc..)

Thank you Jeff, although I did knew what I was buying back in the day but I really didn't know that the Street disk would be fine. I talked to the ACT and was told that there are 2 different type of Street disks which are available. The first part # NSD-007M and NSD-007S. So my only problem is that Custom Maxima sent me the stage 3 (four puck) which none of the org members would ever need.

http://www.coximport.com/store/NM1-HDR4 4 pauk hehe
http://www.coximport.com/store/NM1-HDR6 6 puck

I know bro, how can this get any simpler. Although the retard started telling me that he needs to talk to Greg and all other kinds of bullsh!t. Also as soon as the guy from ACT contact the CM, their page info on clutches changed the same day. But the retard that I was on the phone with kept telling me that their website hasn't been updated in a while.

Try calling ACT direct and tell them you were the guy the caught the error on the cm website. Maybe they will swap it for you but you will have to eat the shipping.

I did talk to ACT a whole bunch of times, but I think that Custom Maxima should be the one offering me a FREE clutch because they f*cked up. Although all I got is bunch of BS from CM which is totally normal in most of people opinions I am sure. I am just very surprised that nobody saw that error earlier.

true, but...with all the stuff they sell and as much as they sell, there's always going to be some mistakes and some negative feedback....it just seems like there's so much negativity because almost every maxima owner that puts mods on it hangs around the .org and once something goes wrong EVERYBODY knows about it....
every company makes mistakes the only difference is, you don't hear as much about them....

because so many org members are on their sack, and they will be untill they personally get screwed over.

I used to take up for them because i thought they really were hookin up the max community. then i saw that most the stuff they were coming out with was accessorie crap. Most the performance stuff can be had for cheaper else where.

also inst the 4th gen turbo kit just a pfi kit re-done? and like 4700?
If im wrong feel free to correct me.

I'm surprised that max.org is sponsored by custommaxima. Maybe thats why the server is still slow?

I've found so many better places other than CustomMaxima.com to purchase products... Although sometimes it took a little effort to find exactly what I was looking for, it always paid off.

Personally, I've never actually heard anything good about them since I've been visiting this place.

I know but for the most part most people dont.

my only problem is that they dont ever address any of the complaints posted here, and you cant say its because they dont see them because some will post a positive then someone will post a negative then someone will post another positive and he will address the first positive skip the negative and go right to the third comment like the thrd wasnt there.

As JEFF2SE stated, ACT does not use the term "stage". That is an in-house term used by Custom Enterprise, and is ultimately irrelevant.
You were shipped the part that you ordered, and it (a 4 puck clutch)was pictured right next to the part description.
You said, during our conversation, that you were fully aware of our return policy. Again, had you attempted to return the part within or even near the two week time period (not 5 1/2 months later), and NOT installed the part (you told 2 other reps that you had installed it before telling me that you had not) I would have been able to resolve this very quickly.
I understand that you were on vacation for those 5 1/2 months, I just wish you'd had time to inspect it before going away.
Anytime you order online, no matter what the part or who it's from, I highly recommend inspecting it immediately. If ever a part is damaged or defective we WILL resolve the issue as quickly as we can. We are only a phone call away.

PS: We do not always post during a situation like this, as the posts seem only to fuel the fire (childish name calling). I gave this situation as much attention and scrutiny as I could, so I thought I would submit a rare post.
