Custom Maxima / Custom Enterprise

Wow!

Being a British citizen, I often have a hard time buying stuff over here, and having it delivered to my VA address, but charged to my UK billing address.

I sent Custom Maxima an email asking if they were like all of the other online resellers that seem to follow this annoying trend, and with the provision of a little evidence as to my identity, they were able to assist.

I ordered one of their new Y pipes, an FSTB & a Rear Anti-Sway bar... Spoke to Jose on Tuesday to place the order, I've just arrived home to find the Y & FSTB waiting for me... It's Thursday!

The Rear Anti-Sway will apparently take a little longer, as it's being shipped from the West coast.

So anyway, one very happy customer, kudos to Custom Entrprise and especially Jose, for making this a very smooth and painless transaction.

Cheers

Keir

Keir glad to hear you are happy. We don't have to many customers out in your neck of the woods. Let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.
Thanks,

That's amazing service... I'm looking into buying some clear corners for my Maxima, and I was trying to find the best place to get the from, price doesn't matter, as long as I get good service... Thanks for posting, you just made up my mind on where to go to order them!!

How long did it take for your Rear Anti-Sway to arrive? It's been 3 weeks and waiting for me.

On the other hand, my FSTB arrived in a timely manner similar to yours.

Update:
Well, it's been a month to the day I ordered my Progress RSB and it still hasn't arrived.
I've e-mailed.
I've PM'd
I've called.
I was assured by Roger that my problem was resolved last Friday, 6/17: the remainder of my order would be shipped early this week and arrive in 2-3 days. Unless it's here sitting on my porch today, then I'm guessing it'll come next week, if at all.
I'm disappointed in the service because it seems I'm just being blown off, but mostly because it's an annoyance to have to pester and pressure them seemingly to initiate anything.

What I am hearing sounds just like a typical parts business like thousands, on the disorganized side of it. Why bother using them if so much effort you need to get your orders? I appreciate all the right words said by the owner/manager whoever Roger is, but personally I will not deal with anyone after fraction of problems described here. Darwin law should prevail - if you cannot cope with business, face it and do something or go bust. Screwing up and fixing that with words on the board is just a process of loosing face (if that concept still exists, sigh).

Disclaimer: I never shopped at CM and never will. So I am a non-interested party.

I'm learning my lesson from this first-time order.

The self-proclaimed Maxima authority is an .org sponsor which entitles them to some credibility and obligation.
Right now, it doesn't matter how nice they are, if they are good guys or not, or the fact they didn't scam me; even though the kind words from Roger are comforting, they only diffuse and delay the situation - I'd rather see action.
I'll admit, their prices are pretty damn good, and I received my FSTB in a timely manner, but that doesn't make up for the delay I'm experiencing now.
Even offering to make up for on the next order with a "break" on shipping isn't phasing me (unless it's free next-day shipping on $500 worth of Progress & Tokico products ).

Tarzan: can you suggest a more reliable retailer?

Another update:
I don't enjoy publicly flogging a vendor, but you've got to take the bad with the good, and right now I'm pretty pissed.

Roger actually called me @ ~3pm shortly after I e-mailed & PM'd.
He was informed directly from the warehouse that the part will actually be in stock next Wednesday, 6/29 and that I should expect it 2-3 days from then. So why was I lead to believe it would be in early this week? Either he was misinformed or I was lied to. Should I even trust this latest update? At this point, unless I see a shipping number I won't believe it.
And what do I get for my trouble? Another apology, a free calendar and some stickers. I'm 26 years old, pacifying me with a calendar and stickers is almost insulting. Unless it amounts to $, I won't consider it sincere. The least they could do is ship it next day or reimburse me for shipping.
And I know I'm going to have to inquire again on Monday and again on Wednesday to see if the damn thing is in fact being shipped. After that, who knows? Refund? Legal action?

Final update:

I e-mailed/PM'd Greg yesterday for proof my part had been shipped out as promised- got a response back the same day with a tracking number.
So finally after 5 five weeks with some run-around & BS from them I'll finally be getting my RSB.

My situation was resolved a few days ago. It seems Greg has to step in to solve things once and for all. Not good business practice.

WARNING as I too had very bad experience with Custom Enterprise. After ordering a Rear Sway bar from them which was supposed to be in stock according to the website was told a week later that it was on back order and that it will be dropped shipped within a week. Month or so later and many emails sent still no sway bar call to request money back. Almost three months later the money has still not been returned to me. SO WATCH OUT FOR THESE GUYS!
