Bad Experience w/Victory Nissan Richmond VA

If you live in Richmond VA or know someone who does warn them quickly DONT GO TO VICTORY NISSAN!!! When I originally purchased my first Nissan Maxima November 2002 after trading in my old car and signing all the paperwork and having my credit check done and also establishing an approved loan per the credit department. Well my first 45 days has gone by and my first payment was due so I called the dealer and speak to the credit office and tell them that I have not received a payment book so she tells me to bring the payment into the office and she will take care of it for me so I did. I am the type who checks his bank account every other day so after two weeks have passed and the check hasnt cleared I start to worry what happened to my payment. So I called the dealer again of course I get the credit department voice mail I leave a message. No call back. Another two weeks go by and I still havent received my payment book neither has my check cleared my bank. Now mind you I had 30 day tags and they are about to expire so before I go to the local DMV I called them and asked them has my old car been taken out of my name they said "No". Ok now a month has gone by and still no payment book, no call back from the dealer and still the check hasnt cleard the bank. So again I called the dealer and this time I asked to speak to the manager of course I get his voice mail. So I called them back immediately asked to speak to his assistant or the next in charge so they connect me to the VP of sales. I tell him my situation and his answer to me was "this is not our fault its because you had bad credit and we couldnt get you financed". Huh if my credit was so jacked up why did you let me take the car home and why did you tell me a bank picked up my loan? So I asked for my old car back and the VP of sales told me "No we are not going to do that". Now its time to pay them a visit as soon as I hung up the phone I got into the car that they sold me and went to the dealer with fire in my eyes and rage in my heart. Amazingly when I got there the Dealer Manager was there and he tried to run that same B.S on me. When I got there the credit manager finally got a bank on the phone and tried to push my loan through that day and they refused stating that what they were trying to do was illegal because they were trying to collect the first payment and the next months payment. The police were called to the dealership and everything. I threatned to sue them and they were like fine. At the time my lawyer was on trial with the DC sniper guy and they were like why do you need a criminal lawyer? What? If this is not a crime what is? Conclusion is that I got my car back and my "loan" was never processed. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH VICTORY NISSAN OF RICHMOND VA

Sales manager at Pence tried to hose me. My window regulator broke (in the rain) and I had a new one from the other window. He offered to take it at his cost and sell me the one I needed at list. All this after I explained that my brother in law was a sales manager at a Nissan dealership in another town. Like it was going to help me. No use for Pence either! Everyone has to make money but this guy was a loser. Hope he's been fired by now. Like I said, brother in law was a Nissan sales manager. Not my favorite person but he wouldn't have shafted someone that hard.

I can't get over how bad this sounds. For one, its unbeleivable they put you in a car without having a solid deal together. I've seen it happen, but rarely, and only when the finance director oks it, and has good faith it'll get bought. My experience with autofinance is that they can "spot" a deal thats a little shakey, which only happens on saturdays (when most banks are closed) and work to get it bought by the bank on the first working day, usually Monday.

Man, they just screwed you over, every which way. Yes, get a criminal lawyer and take them to court. Not only won't they sell you the car, but won't gives yours back..wow. Sue them... if everything you say here is true, not only is that place horrible, but there is something very criminal about the way they run that place. Every bit of your negative experience is illegal and should be reported to the courts, but Nissan as well.

Everyone I know has had a bad experience with Victory Nissan on Broad

I realize most dealers are borderline sleezy to begin with, but Victory goes above and beyond.

They tried to charge me all kinds of hidden fees. They even put GAP Insurance on my Bill of Sale without asking me. Other dealers at least try to sell it to you, they just slipped it in there hoping I wouldnt notice. When I told them to take it off they were like, "What, you dont want it? Everyone gets it."

That and about 50 other tactics you would expect from a used car lot somewhere in Arkansas, not from a respectable-looking dealership in the West End.

Drive another 20 or 30 minutes to find another dealer, you will be thanking yourself.
