So I ordered an Otto FSTB a few months ago. I specifically asked them to ship the item to my military address in Louisiana. They messed up and shipped it to my home address in Chicago.

I just ordered some other items this week, specifically emailing them TWICE and putting it in big, bold notes on the PayPal receipt. Once again, they didn't care to pay attention or follow instructions to have it sent to where I am instead of where I won't be for months.

I called and talked to a gal who didn't care and whose attitude was "oh well, tough luck". I then talked to Mark Angulo, the CS Manager. Mark listened to me, then said "ah, well, too bad - it's already been shipped". I said that was exactly the point, and I pointed out the notes section on the PayPal receipt. He said "oh, we never read that, and it doesn't matter anyway, because company policy is to send it to the shipping address". I told him he COULD have made an exception for a member of the US military who is deployed and stuck in Louisiana until demobilization processing is over in July. He said "oh well, call UPS and see if you can have it rerouted".

Thing is, UPS will only reroute if it fails first delivery. The management where I live will end up signing for it and placing it aside in storage until I return, or (like the FSTB) until I get someone with special permission to pick it up, and then have them take time out of their own schedule and have to pay for ADDITIONAL shipping to get it back down to me in Louisiana.

I must say this... ProCarParts customer service sucks. They don't give a rat's a$$ about you, only your money. They aren't willing to work with a customer (what happened to "customer satisfaction"), and even though the official policy of EBay AND PayPal states you can send to an unconfirmed address, they refuse to help someone out in my situation. All of this even after they have been paid quickly off of PayPal.

I caution anyone to buy anything from ProCarParts. They have a pi$$ poor attitude and won't help you if a situation arises (i.e., if the item goes out of stock, if something screws up, or if they make a mistake).

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Hmm, bad habits on the horizon!!!! I too have been waiting for also most two months for the Tein H-tech springs I ordered from 4/1/05, and its still not here??? They keep telling me that they had a problem with the address, but if thats the case, why do they keep telling me it has been shipped out today and will receive in 2-3 days. The last time I heard that story was on 5/10/05

AND what's todays date??? Still not here.

update on PCP
I received the following email from an Ebayer who read my feedback on Pro Car Parts.com:

"I'm a victim of procarparts.Mr. Tan didn't send my items. It seems there is a group operating out of the same area under multiple eBay ID's. 903 unhappy victims this year @ $58 per customer.Tan may have ripped off $52,000 under 1 eBay ID.I'm forwarding you info given to me by another ebay user. When I theatened them with this info I recieved a response and they sent me a check (in someone else's name).I threatened to forward this info to all unhappy customers. They told me to go ahead. Make a theft/fraud claim @ local police department.Tell them that Lt. Pawasratat at # 2800 from the El Monte Police Department in El Monte California is willing to help and do leg work to investigate claims against Eddy Tan from procarparts.com. Lt Pawasrat can be reached at 626 580-2190.You can contact Det. Stephen Hager #471 at 626 580-2148, his email is shager@elmontepd.org"

all I can say is... WOW. EVERYONE in the Org needs to know about this as soon as possible, and stay away from doing business with Pro Car Parts.

I called them back today after calling UPS with the tracking number they provided. The guy I talked to yesterday told me UPS had it. Today UPS told me that had billing info and hadn't picked it up yet. I spoke with 3 more people who weren't willing to help me... and imagine this, the lady told me I had to send them a money order or check from an address I wanted it sent to... I reminded her that SHE ALREADY HAD MY MONEY VIA PAYPAL. She then told me to verify my address in LA with PayPal and send them .01 and then (only then) would they reroute the package. I told her I can't confirm a military address, but if I could, she would have to refund the .01 as well... she said "it's only a penny".

Now I finally received an email to either send them the .01 verified address or they will refund my money. I asked for the refund, and told him to never expect any business from the lack of customer service they provide.

I'll keep you posted.

After being told 3 times that the tein has been shipped, and after 2 month's of waiting , I finally got the official tracking numbers for fedex. I think the reason why I got it this time is because I left alittle dirty message on there thrend... I guess it work..LOL

I got my refund today. No more will I buy from Pro Car Parts or any of their affiliations. You guys should think twice about it as well... if you still experience a problem, they only respond to "bully" tactics... call every day, several times a day. Demand to speak to a manager, continually repeat your case, and emphasize their lack of customer service.

Wow! I've bought parts via ebay from them 3 or 4 times for 2 different cars over the last 3 years and have never had any negative issues. Fast and accurate shipping and the parts have been as described and well packed. I suppose maybe I've just been lucky. I'm glad you posted this so that I won't get screwed by them.
