I just wanted to let everyone know about my experience with custommaxima.com. I bought the angels eyes from them and the 2 small rings turned out to be defective.
The 2 smaller angel eyes had dried up silicon on the rings in 2 areas on one ring and three areas on the other. Also, the rings do not light up about a half an inch up on the bottom of both rings. Basically I was sent defective rings. When I called Custommaxima they told me that the rings they have light up all the way. I asked them for an exchange and they wanted me to pay to ship and insure the defective product back to them. Why should I have to pay to ship and insure a defective item that I was sent. I paid money for a working product.
When I ordered a strut bar from sport compact only I received a scratched up strut bar. After I called them and explained what I had received, they immediately emailed me a form and said to take the bar and the form to a FedEx so that it could be shipped back. I did not pay a dime and they sent me a new bar the same day – Excellent Customer Service.
Custom Maxima.com did not seem to care that I was upset and would not fix the problem.
I do not have pics as I did not put the set on my car. I just wanted people to know about my experience with this company so that before you decide to purchase these rings from them you might want to consider Umnitza since they make them and I heard they have excellent customer service. I will not purchase anything from CM again.

I didn't have such a difficult issue, however my Evo2 took 7 weeks to arrive, after it was promised in 2. Then when i called after the 3rd, 4th, and 5th weeks every time i was assured it would arrive in the next 2-3 days. I expressed my displeasure having to pay like 100 for shipping and then to have to postpone my florida trip to wait for my cat-back. I've never bought anything from them since, and to think they said they had it in stock in cali. and it'd ship out next day. I didn't know they had a warehouse in cali, and judging the shipping origin was Seattle, i'd say they just BS you. Either way, i went down to the main location cuz i live like 30 mins, and there's a tiny office, no pictures on the wall, and 2 generic maxima plaques that have nissans 2002 advertising pics on them. Basically it's a drop-ship middleman operation, and not to be prejudicial cuz i'm young myself, but noone there was over like 25, and it seemed to directly affect their attitudes, and noone took me seriously. They spend more energy on marketing than anything else. I think they have like 4 employees at most. I saw 2.
Aside from the angel eye problem I had a problem when I ordered the Aluminum brushed bezel. They had to send me 4 bezels because they kept sending me a defective bezel. It was almost 2 months before I got a simple bezel.

The defect you are describing is not really a defect, I again personally checked every set of angle eyes in our warehouse to see if I could find the defect you were describing and the only issue I saw was that at the very ends of each angle eye the light stops about an 1/8" short, which is how they all are. Now unless you are testing them before they are assembled, you do not notice this. From the start there was never an issue with replacing the angle eyes, we received working angle eyes that you stated were defective, that is the only reason why you were charged shipping back to us. Not to mention all the shipping charges we payed to get you the right bezel. Now before you go bashing us please consider what we did do for you, along with the owner and myself there were 2 other employees involved in this situation, we spent a great deal of time and effort on trying to keep you happy for you to bash us on the org. I had no idea that you felt you were treated badly, please give me a call I would love to try to change your mind about us, customer service is of course very important to us. Call me.

When I spoke to Jose he said that the rings he tested lit up all the way. He also admitted that the silicon was not supposed to be there but told me not to worry that it would not get in the way. The silicon does bother me and it is not supposed to be there and the rings don’t light up all the way. I sent Greg and Jose emails explaining how I felt weeks ago with no response back. The last time I spoke to Jose I told him I was unhappy with the service and he still would not budge. I told him I would no longer be a customer with CM and would notify fellow maxima owners about my experience with CM and he told me to do what I have to. Greg or Jose was willing to lose a customer over $5-$10 dollars to ship a defective product back. I will call if you plan on correcting the situation but if it is to hear the same story that I heard from Jose then I will not bother. Again I did not have a problem with you personally, but I refuse to pay for defective products.

Before I make my statement I would like to mention this has nothing to do with Tony personally since he tried to help.
I have been dealing with CE since the last post Tony made, going back and fourth trying to resolve the problem with my angel eyes. To this date they have not fixed the problem. Instead of taking responsibility for what they sold me they tried to get it out of Matt at Umnita. Although it is not Matt’s initial problem, when I spoke to him he was a bit rude and refused to help and stand by his product. Both companies want me to pay to ship and insure the product back to them. I would understand it being a problem if we were dealing with hundreds of dollars, but we are not it is a matter of a couple of bucks. This is not the way you conduct business. I just spent a thousand dollars on parts that CE could have made if they had the proper customer service. If Greg does not want to make his customers happy then he will just not have any. At least not my business! I would not recommend buying these angel eyes from CE.

Man i hate to bash somebody but 03MAX you need to quit complaining and do something. If they were that bad to you find out who the owner or operations manager is and write a letter. If they are part of the BBB file a complaint. If you are not willing to fight for it then sit down and be quite. Sorry for the semi-bashing admins.
