I wrote an email to Cattman asking why they dont have the headers on their website and that i want to buy some for my 2k and this is what they wrote back.
If anybody knows more about this please let me know.
Hi,
Our website is, unfortunately, quite out of date (new one in preparation)
but we're quite active developing and selling products (check our reputation
on maxima.org). You won't find the headers there until the new site is
launched.
The production of our headers, originally made in New Zealand, was moved to
the US about a year ago, and we did a redesign and translation of the part
from mild steel to 304 stainless. The company we were working with had some
good design skills, but they couldn't meet our production requirements,
which forced us to move the project again, which has cost a lot of time.
But things are looking good at this point - the project is now in the hands
of our very reliable catback manufacturers in Southern California, in
production right now, and we expect to begin selling our "new and
improved"
version by mid-July. We will fill orders as taken, and are holding about 20
right now. If you're keen to get a set from the second batch of 20, you
should place an order. We take all the necessary information, but do not
charge the CC until the part is in stock.
The intro price for this new production is $799/unit, including installation
kit, noting that this includes both manifolds and a y-pipe that is specific
to this system.

I talked to Brian about this and i'm really considering purchasing Cattman headers for my 5.5Gen. I guess I will have to sell my cattman y-pipe which is not even two months old.

Ride2k are you asking if Cattman is legit, or just more information about the header delay? As far as Cattman as a company, Brian and them are awesome. I really helped me with some cattback issues i was having and gave me very detailed information on how to fix the problem, and their y pipe and catback are of awesome quality, IMO. and the fabled strut bar is awesome too given the opportunity to get headers, they WILL be cattman.
