Custom Maxima stole a picture of my car
Customenterprises.com stole a picture of my car to put on their website. They put it on the fog light page, its the green 4th generation. Fog Light Page. I contacted them but got no reply. I would not recomend buying from them as they have to steal pictures of cars to sell their cars. If you go to my website you will see the exact picture except without the logo on the picture.
How did they get the picture? If you posted it online, you're pretty much screwed. You forfeit a lot of rights if they can find it through some place like google.com
But honestly, I'd leave it there. It's a stock front end, they could get that picture anywhere that they want to. Just be happy they thought yours was nice enough to use.

Guys this is a first I am hearing of this issue. I handle all the incoming E-mails and I do not recall ever getting an Email to remove this picture, if that was the case I would gladly have taken it off the website.
Powerman5115, if you would like me to remove the picture from the website please contact me at Nick@customenterprise.com or you could always try calling us or PM'ing me or even our live chat service. We have provided a lot of different ways to get in touch with us, please use them before bashing. Thanks
Nick

...Wow, you seriously need a life.
If your biggest concern in a day is your stock fog lights being used without your permission, your deffinetly not busy enough.
Besides, this is the most attention your BONE stock car will ever see...
I'm sorry, it makes me mad to see someone bashing one of the few companies that actually provide parts for our cars that arn't "universal."

Obviously thats all the details of the case i am willing to discuss, but my point has been made. If they want to use your car great but you should have been consulted at the very least.

LOL! Creating a fake myspace page is FAR from identity theft. If it were as serious as you say, wouldn't you think all the celebrities out there w/ fake myspace pages would try to sue the creators? Get a life... what kind of business do you actually run, you're 21

Yes, im 21. I have a very good life. I started running my own private hosting company for select clients when i was 18 as a reseller. I moved up from there and i now own 12 servers based out of a datacenter in Orlando FL where i rent physical space. It does pretty well but almost all profit is invested in different areas as i build towards things for later in life. For example i own a few rental properties as well as some land out near my grandparents in IL that is rented for several things. For now i have managed to step back from the majority of the company aspects, and i keep my regular job and still plan to persue a career in law enforcement. I will most likely accept my partners buy out offer on the company within the next two years and bank the profits for later in life. I'm not rich nor will i be, but my goals hav always been comfort.
Not that i feel i need to justify my statements to you, or anyone else for that matter, but you asked.
Scubasteve, your obviously no lawyer, i will tell you, and everyone here as an experienced photographer that what CE did is in no way illegal. Unless you file for a copyright on your photos they can be taken and used. Case closed. I have been there and tried to argue it. Now i copyright all photos i put online. As for your client, he has no legal right to collect on the charges relating to the Myspace issue. Now all you shutup, cuz you just got the only right answer, from the only person here that actually knows anything, me, a photographer who deals with this stuff all the time...
cant argue with the "im the only one who is right because law can only be viewed the way that i read it" logic. Look i am not going to argue with you, but my lawyer is tried and true for myself and friends for over 10 years and he hasnt lost one yet. So if he tells me its illegal and we have rights then hate to tell you buddy but im taking his word over yours.
No matter if it is legal or not... It is crappy business. Most people would not care, they just want the decency to ASK THEM!
I was pissed when Jinsu used pics I took to sell the KSport coilovers on here and Ebay. I was to lazy to do anything about it, but I still would have liked to have been asked. He should have had his own pics anyway (he did not even know what they looked like
), I posted them on the ORG because I was the first one to get KSports on here.
Plain and simple, it is rude...

True it is rude, and thats something no one can really argue. Every owner of a picture has the right to be notified before it is used. But my post was stating that legally it was not wrong. Like other people said, i would kind of be happy my car is on a popular website.

It kind of depends, you dont need to file a for a formal copyright, if it is hosted through imageshack or other free hosting company, it is actually theirs, because its posted on their domain. You do forfeit your rights, but to imageshack, not to the free world. If you own your own webspace and have it hosted there, it is technically yours and has an implied copyright. They see it the same way as if you have some photos on your wall, people cant come into your house and jack them. Bottom line is CE shouldnt have used your photo without your permission, however since it probably wasnt hosted on your personal webspace, theres not a damn thing you can do about it so why waste the time.

Of everything said here, I think I am going to side with 'atifsays', merely because of his maturity and intellectual depth! He definately uses words to his benefit!
